A list of suggestions should appear, tap the one that says the same as what you typed in. Tap it, and then use your device’s (virtual) keyboard to type in “google hangouts”. You should see a search bar in the top-middle portion of the screen (or top-right, on iOS devices). Find the Play Store (or App Store on iOS devices), and tap it to start it up.

This lesson will show you how to get both of these versions of Google Hangouts. To get the computer desktop version of Google Hangouts, though, you will need to have Google Chrome (Google’s web browser) installed on your computer as well. The two most accessible versions of Google Hangouts, though, are the app for mobile devices and the computer desktop program. For example, if you have an account on Gmail, Google’s email client, then Google Hangouts comes built into it! You can also install Google Hangouts as a small add-on feature to many common web browsers. There are actually a couple of different ways that you can get Google Hangouts. Run: brew cask install google-hangouts Done! You can now use Google Hangouts. So just type your password and press ENTER/RETURN key. When you type the password, it won't be displayed on screen, but the system would accept it. If the screen prompts you to enter a password, please enter your Mac's user password to continue. They can be 'sideloaded' into a Kindle Fire HD and HDX, but if you don't have a computer and/or aren't comfortable following technical instructions, find someone (friend or child) who is and give them. Hangouts and Google+ are NOT available in the Amazon App store (nor are other Google apps), and you can't install it directly from Google Play. The hangouts extension has nothing to do with accessing Google Meet.
